A woman with an issue of blood for twelve years is healed

In Mark 5:25-34, a woman who had been suffering from an issue of blood for twelve years thought that if she touched the hem of Jesus clothes, she would give birth, so she came behind Jesus and touched the hem of his clothes, and the issue of blood stopped immediately. So when Jesus asked her who it was that touched her, she told everyone why she had touched her and how she had been healed. Jesus said to her, Daughter, your faith has saved you. Go in peace.’”

 thy faith hath made thee whole; ( πίστις σου σέσωκέν σε)What does this mean? The Greek word for it is healed. It is an incurable disease that cannot be cured by human methods, but the sick person had a firm belief that Jesus could cure it, and this faith cured the disease. This means that God's power healed the sick through the sick's faith.

So what is this faith? Jesus is the only one who can cure his illness, is the belief held by the sick person. If this believer has faith, power can come from God. However, today there are countless patients, among whom are suffering and dying from disease. There will be many Christians among them. Therefore, believers try to receive prayers by laying hands on them to cure their illnesses, and they also visit prayer centers and pray earnestly for their illnesses to be cured. But how many die without any effect? How strongly do they desire to be healed? So what is the difference between cases of healing in Jesus' time and people dying today even if they pray hard? Is it the difference between whether Jesus exists or not?

Jesus appointed the Seventy and sent them on a missionary journey. In Luke 10:8-9, And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you: And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come. nigh unto you.Jesus' disciples also performed amazing miracles, curing the sick and even raising the dead. Even today, is it possible to perform the same amazing miracles of healing as in the days of the early church?

Two conditions must be met. It is a situation between the person who heals the illness and the person who is healed. He who heals the sick is said in 1 Corinthians 12:9, To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

The Holy Spirit gives faith to some people and the gift of healing to others. This means that illness cannot be cured without the power of the Holy Spirit. And the sick person also needs to have a firm belief that the power of the Holy Spirit will heal their illness. Ultimately, this cannot happen without the Holy Spirit. Healing occurs through people who have received the gift of the Holy Spirit. The reason for healing with the Holy Spirit is related to salvation.

In 1 Corinthians 12:10-11, To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.』“His will is the will of God. God's will is to believe in his Son. In John 6:40, And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

However, mysticism appears in the church today. People in mysticism say that they have been healed by the Holy Spirit. Numerous church people cheer at the sight and approach them. Do they really heal with the power of the Holy Spirit, or are they just pseudo-believers? How to judge?

Diseases are broadly divided into two types. There are physical illnesses and spiritual illnesses. As for physical illnesses, modern medicine has advanced to the point where it is possible to treat any number of illnesses, except for a very small number of illnesses. However, the illnesses mentioned in the Bible are mostly mental or spiritual. The illness mentioned in the Bible is related to sin. At the time, Jesus cured people with hemorrhages, lepers, the blind, withered hands, and the lame, and this often appears in symbolic expressions. It shows that all humans are in this state. So, the meaning of curing an illness includes the purpose of repenting of sins, turning around, and gaining salvation. The Bible links illness and sin.
